Dermal fillers including Juvéderm®, Voluma® XC, Radiesse®, Perlane®, Sculptra®, Belotero®, and Restlyane® are injected into the face to restore lost facial volume and help you look younger. Dermal facial fillers can be used to augment the lips and cheeks, fill in deep-set wrinkles around the mouth, and the tear trough underneath the eyes. Most dermal fillers use hyaluronic acid gel to add volume and help you look younger. The results vary depending on the product and treatment area, but they typically last anywhere from six months to up to two years. Although the injection may cause some slight swelling and redness, most patients can resume their normal activities following treatment.
